SUMMARY:From Hurting to Healing - Book
DESCRIPTION:Kinder workplaces \nWe’re working with Dr Simon Craig to bring you his book about organisational change called –\nFrom Hurting to Healing – Delivering Love to Medicine and Healthcare. \n\nA great book for people who want to take a much closer look at how workplaces can change from feeling toxic to being more of a tonic in people’s lives. Simon worked as an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Australia before specialising in improving team dynamics\, workplace\, and organisational cultures. \nThe book is easy to read and takes readers through a process of looking more closely at workplace practices to identify where opportunities for change exist. It outlines a generic model\, so its takeaway messages are suitable for anyone in any workplace where working with people for positive change is important.  \nParticipants in our Better Health Workplaces workshops can purchase the book for $28.75 plus postage (if required).\nNon-participants can purchase it for $34.50 plus postage (if required).

SUMMARY:Youth Hub Workshop: Community Partnership
DESCRIPTION:Building a community backed Youth Hub for our rangathi \nFor Mana Taiohi (youth development)\, Partnership\, and Community-led solutions \nOur rangatahi deserve a space where they feel they belong. A place that honours their mana and provides the support they need to thrive. We are in the early stages of dreaming and designing a Youth Hub for the Wairarapa\, and we want you at the table. \nWe know our community and NGO partners have their ear to the ground. You see the needs and gaps that clinical services may fail to see. We are hosting a community partnership workshop to discuss how we can work together\, more closely than ever before\, to fill these gaps\, provide a holistic service and better meet the needs of our rangatahi. \nWe want to hear your thoughts on \n\nThe vision: what should a Youth Hub feel like\, look like\, and provide for our rangatahi?\nCollaboration over competition: how can we move away from siloed working to a truly collaborative partnership model?\nAccessibility: how do we ensure our Hub meets the diverse needs of our rural and urban communities? Are there minority groups that are not accessing the support they need? How do we address this?
