Youth Hub Workshop: Clinical

Be part of a collective of local stakeholders committed to improving the wellbeing of rangatahi in the Wairarapa.
Currently, many of our young people face fragmented journeys when seeking health and wellbeing support. We are also mindful that there are lots of providers doing amazing mahi in this space, but we are not as well connected as we could be. This means that in our current financial climate with restricted funding, some of us may be competing for the same limited funding pool, or duplicating services that could be more streamlined.
Keeping the young person and their whanau front of mind and central to our work, we are exploring the concept of a Wairarapa-specific Youth Hub or One Stop Shop, designed to provide integrated, youth friendly clinical and social/wellbeing care.
We recognise that your expertise is essential in designing a model that is clinically safe, sustainable and effective. We invite you to a targeted Clinical Integration Workshop to explore:
- Collaborative practice: How can we do better, co-locate or integrate services to reduce wait times. Make best use of warm handovers, that we know are so much more effective for rangatahi, and reduce wasted resources?
- Shared resources: what would shared clinical governance and infrastructure look like in the Wairarapa context?
- Gap identification: what are the specific barriers your service faces in reaching and engaging with youth? How can we address these as a collective?
