Youth Hub Workshop: Community Partnership

April 22 @ 9:30 am11:30 am
Free

Building a community backed Youth Hub for our rangathi

For Mana Taiohi (youth development), Partnership, and Community-led solutions

Our rangatahi deserve a space where they feel they belong. A place that honours their mana and provides the support they need to thrive. We are in the early stages of dreaming and designing a Youth Hub for the Wairarapa, and we want you at the table.

We know our community and NGO partners have their ear to the ground. You see the needs and gaps that clinical services may fail to see. We are hosting a community partnership workshop to discuss how we can work together, more closely than ever before, to fill these gaps, provide a holistic service and better meet the needs of our rangatahi.

We want to hear your thoughts on

  • The vision: what should a Youth Hub feel like, look like, and provide for our rangatahi?
  • Collaboration over competition: how can we move away from siloed working to a truly collaborative partnership model?
  • Accessibility: how do we ensure our Hub meets the diverse needs of our rural and urban communities? Are there minority groups that are not accessing the support they need? How do we address this?
